Hello, this is Ray and Cindy. We founded Muddy Crepes in December of 2022 and is family owned and operated. Having spent nearly 20 years in Las Vegas, Nv, we decided to travel to Rapid City and pursue a passionate turn in our lives. I formally ran a 13-year, 5-star rated Wedding Videography business in Las Vegas that served the most prestigious country clubs in the valley. The idea of opening a crepe shop barely occurred to me due to my hectic schedule. However, crepes have always been a staple in our family. Our famous "Muddy Berries" dish, which is now our bestseller, has been a cherished family recipe for years and has only been shared with close friends, family, and neighbors. It is humbling to see this exclusive recipe evolve into a flourishing business that can be shared with the world.
It brings us great joy to be able to serve the community of Rapid City and present a fresh approach to making crepes, possibly introducing a unique culinary experience to South Dakota.
Crepes, a symbol of the French culture and cuisine, is now consumed worldwide. They can be eaten as breakfast, dessert, or even as a main course. Crepes are a relatively healthy food choice containing nutritious ingredients like flour, eggs, and milk cooked in butter. While some crepes are folded into frozen fruits to strategically keep costs down, we lean towards a different approach. Our ingredients are always fresh and never frozen while maintaining a fair and balanced price for the consumer. Crepes can be made in various ways to be crispy, soft, or stiff, they can be folded, formed into a cone, or rolled and the best part is that they can be eaten with just about anything. Our crepes are soft and elastic as we find them to be most enjoyable when eaten hot or cold with any sweet or savory.
